Youth Visions for Youth Justice

A lot of time, energy, money and suffering goes into maintaining the youth prison system. We have the highest youth incarceration rate in the world. It makes one wonder... how does a child, whose future is pure potentiality, see their life so quickly shuffled down a path of criminality and punishment?

The Youth First Initiative decided to start asking system-involved youth what they think is necessary to create the conditions that would keep kids from being locked up. If you've ever met a teenager, you will not be surprised to learn that they have ideas and visions that hold possibilities sometimes invisible to the adult eyeball.
