Birds of Maya

Birds of Maya is a psychedelic punk band that I started with Ben Leaphart and Mike Polizze in 2004. We are known for our generally blown out records, and energetic live performances. We've played hundreds of shows with many of our favorite bands such as Dead Moon, Blue Cheer, DMBQ, Meat Puppets, and Flower Travellin' Band. We've released 5 records: Vol. 1 (2008, Holy Mountain Records), Ready to Howl (2010, Richie Records), Regulation (with Harmonica Dan) (2010, Richie Records), Celebration (2013, Little Big Chief Records), and Valdez (2021, Drag City Records)
